Starkey
Systems merged with Beam Built In Vacuums Ltd in 1999. Beam Built
in Vacuums Ltd was formed in 1984 by Derek and Mary Starkey and the
company imported and installed Beam vacuum systems which were manufactured
by Electrolux in the USA.
Since the development of the Signature Series range of vacuum units, the company has progressed to distributing that range and no longer promote the Beam range. At the same time, Starkey Systems moved into the ventilation market. For this reason the company became known as Starkey Systems and the name Beam Built In Vacuum Systems ceased to be used.
Starkey Systems, with their policy of supplying products of the best available quality, now source their systems almost wholly from Europe.
The range of vacuum power units for domestic and light industrial applications is from BVC and use Siemens through flow motors. These machines are manufactured to the highest quality expected from a German manufacturer.
Units for commercial, industrial and large hotels (multi user systems) are sourced from Disan in Italy.
With over 20 years in the business Starkey Systems has a wealth of accumulated knowledge of the industry and has supplied installed thousands of vacuum systems to satisfied domestic and commercial customers.
Ventilation and Heat Recovery Systems
With the onset of building regulations requiring proper ventilation and energy saving in new and renovated houses, Starkey Systems , with their knowledge gained in the vacuum business, has, since 2002, been supplying and installing ventilation, heat recovery and comfort cooling systems.
The ventilation business is very complimentary to the vacuum business requiring similar skills in the installation of systems.
Starkey Systems promotes the use of products manufactured or imported by Greenwood Airvac, Nuaire, Ubbink and Neatafan. Ducting is sourced from Domus and Lindab.
Starkey Systems employs both technical staff to design systems and experienced
fitters capable of installing systems in accordance with best practice.
